What to have ready before you apply.

The more you can share up front, the faster your advisor can find your best options. Don't worry if you don't have everything — we'll help you fill in the gaps.

Your last 4 months of business bank statementsFull PDFs, all pages, from the account where your revenue is deposited.
Business name, start date, and industryEven a rough start date is fine — lenders mainly want to see time in business.
Approximate monthly revenueMost of our lending partners look for $10K+ per month in deposits.
How much you need and what it's forInventory, payroll, equipment, expansion, consolidating debt — it shapes which product fits.
Your approximate personal credit scoreAn estimate is fine. We never run a hard pull to check your eligibility.
Any current business financingOpen loans or advances and their balances, so we can structure the right offer.

Common questions.

Does checking my eligibility affect my credit?

No. Our eligibility check and initial review use your bank statements and a soft inquiry only. A hard credit pull only happens if you choose to move forward with a specific lender's offer that requires one — and we'll tell you first.

How fast can I actually get funded?

Once we have your application and 4 months of statements, most files get offers the same or next business day. After you sign, funds can land in your account in as little as 24 hours. SBA loans take longer — typically a few weeks — because of the extra underwriting.

What does Redwood Capital charge?

For most products, nothing out of pocket — we're compensated by the lending partner when a deal funds. If a product does carry a fee (for example, placing you into a 0% promotional credit line), we disclose it up front in writing before you commit to anything.

I was declined by my bank. Can you still help?

Usually, yes. Banks say no for all kinds of reasons that have nothing to do with how healthy your business is. We work with more than 75 lending partners, including options that approve on cash flow rather than credit score.

What industries do you work with?

Restaurants, trucking and logistics, construction and trades, retail, medical and professional practices, e-commerce, and more. If you've been operating for at least 6 months with consistent revenue, it's worth a conversation.

Are you a lender?

No — we're a brokerage. That's the point: we're not trying to sell you one product. We shop your file across our lender network, bring back the best offers, and negotiate on your side.
